This project involved the complete restoration of the formal gardens surrounding a beautiful Georgian estate in the Cotswolds. The lawns had become thin and uneven, borders were lost under years of overgrowth, and the overall structure had faded. The owners wanted to restore the classic formal elegance while ensuring the garden remained practical for modern living.
Project Overview
Spanning 450 m² in the heart of the Cotswolds, this ten-week restoration project reinstated the estate’s historic formal garden character. We renewed the soil, installed premium turf, re-established crisp geometric borders, and introduced structured planting that perfectly complements the Georgian architecture.

Researched the original garden layout using historic photographs and site measurements to preserve authentic proportions.
Clearing & Soil Renewal
Removed overgrown vegetation and compacted turf, then enriched the soil with organic compost and drainage enhancers.
Lawn Installation
